Terms and Conditions

Thank you very much for downloading HandicapApp and I do not intend to abuse that trust and therefore I will take extra good care of your personal information.

If you have purchased and are using Feelings, these are never shared and they never leave your phone or tablet, your responses are saved within private iCloud and responses are only shared if you choose to do so.

When you add documents they are saved within the private part of iCloud, only accessible through the app, when running on your device. Documents are not shared with anyone and they never leave your device.

When you add places, they stay in the public database even if you decide to leave the app and they’re available for all other users freely to use. Make sure to be as precise as possible when adding places. Places are added annominously, nothing will point other users to you. When you do add places make sure to fill in titles and comments when needed and do so in a decent language otherwise those places could be removed again. Keep in mind that other users can vote your added places up and down. However they can only vote once on each place. When users do vote on your places you will be notified but you can not reply. Your added places will change background color depending on the value of the added place according to other users voting. Green is good. Red is bad. Just start adding places whenever you notice something is missing. Good luck and thank you on behalf of all the users benefitting every day from these services.

We disclaim any responsibility for the physical locations and quality of these that users create and thus add to the map.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. See the details below.

People Terms and Conditions

Thank you very much for downloading HandicapApp and I do not intend to abuse that trust and therefore I will take extra good care of your personal information.

If you have purchased and are using People, you have 3 states available, 1) off, 2) hidden and 3) visible. Off, then there's nothing to worry about, no one can see you and you can't see anyone either. Hidden, means you can see other people but they can't see you and you can offer your help to people. Visible, means you can see other people and they can see you. When you choose this mode, make sure to enter a screen name, a description and let other people know how you are feeling, other people near by can see these informations from your profile description from the map.

When you are visible, you will show a raising hand character on the map with a background color, signaling how you are feeling, red means bad, blue is neutral and green is good. If you touch to open a people character from the map, you will be presented with a profile view, a photo, a screen name, how are you feeling, your gender, whether you are blind, whether you are a companion, your nationality and your description and there is a local menu with currently 3 options.

How are you feeling? Really bad, bad, ok, good and really good. Choose how you're feeling, other people can see this and unless you are feeling bad or really bad you can't ask for help and also you can't offer help for other people unless they are feeling bad or really bad.

Right now there are 3 functions, 1) Ask for help, 2) Offer your help and 3) Block this user.

First of all, if you need emergency, then call emergency! Very important. You can't rely on other people for that!

When you ask someone for help, theres no guarantee that they will help, but hey you can always ask, right? To be able to use People, you need to accept notifications, enter a valid phone number and have it veryfied, you will have to share your location, the app really doesn't work without sharing your location, but in this case your location will be added to the database but only when you are in visible mode. When you are in visible mode your location will be stored in the database, when you leave visible mode your location will be removed again.

If you are asked for help, you have the option to accept or deny, if you accept you will receive location and phone number and real name of this user in question. If you choose not to help anyway, you can always remove the connection between you and this user. You can always block any user near by and then it's only you who can remove this block again.

Your phone number and your location is only shared when you give conscent, which means when you are visible, you can be seen by other users near by but they don't have access your to phone number unless you ask for help.

At no time will your location or any other of your personal details be shared with anyone outside HandicapApp or with any third party or any third party technologies.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. See the details below.

Chat Terms and Conditions

Thank you very much for downloading HandicapApp and I do not intend to abuse that trust and therefore I will take extra good care of your personal information.

Chatting will not be able to work without you sharing your location and accepting notifications.

This update is about the new social features that now allow you to chat, make friends or date?

What would you like? What is your status? And how far would you like to search?

Additionally, you can describe yourself through a new screen where you can answer many questions; these will be read by other users to assess whether you would be a good match for a chat, a future friendship, or maybe even a date.

There are several new screens, “Chat” where you set up your profile and answer these many questions, and then there are ongoing conversations. “Conversations” is an overview of the different matches you have available; these conversations have a background color, yellow means both parties are passive, light green means one party has accepted a conversation, and dark green means both parties have accepted and can now chat with each other. “Conversation” is used to chat with another user. Messages can be edited, deleted, and reported, and users can always be blocked. If you report a received text, the text will be marked as “reported.”

The “Conversations” screen consists of a list of conversations; each conversation has a picture of the other party, a name or a screen name from the other party. You can also see the other party's status on the three critical questions, “What would you like?”, “What is your status?” and “How far would you like to search?”. You can also see if the other party is a VoiceOver user; you can also see their nationality; the other party can theoretically come from anywhere on Earth, and you can also see whether they are male or female. In this conversation overview, there may also be a short description from the other party or an excerpt from the latest message. Conversations are sorted according to the latest messages and will be found at the top.

If you want to block a user, you do this by deleting a chat in the conversation overview; just swipe left and then the conversation will be deleted and the user blocked, so a chat cannot be restored. If you change your mind, you can go to “Blocked Users” and delete a blocked user, so they are no longer blocked, but the conversation is still deleted but can be restored. You cannot initiate conversations with other users; conversations are created dynamically.

If you want to know more about the other party in a chat, you can swipe right and read the overview there; it contains all the questions and answers, if the other party has answered them, and if the other party has not been thorough in filling out this information, you can ask for more information there. The other party will then be notified to answer more questions.

Matches between users are generated dynamically; you can choose to accept a match by clicking on it, you can choose to be passive on a match, and you can always delete a match and thus block another user.

You can only send texts in this version.

Age, phone number, and your location will not be shared with anyone.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. See the details below.
